Saturn Calls is the melodic alternative metal project of twin brothers Francesco and Alessandro Guasconi from Siena, Italy — now writing and recording between London and Siena.

The music explores memory, emotional distance, and the slow erosion of inner life in a world moving too fast. Heavy guitars and drums, vocals alternating melody and rasp, atmospheric synth textures with industrial and electronic elements — a dark, melancholic undertone, the song always at the centre. The sound sits in the territory of Bad Omens, Loathe and Tool.

Francesco and Alessandro bring over two decades of experience. Together they co-founded Marla Singer, one of Italy's most active alternative rock acts of the 2000s — winners of Sanremo Rock 2003, signed to Artenativa/Venus, touring alongside The Cure, Audioslave, Slipknot and Alter Bridge. Their 2010 cover of Eleanor Rigby reached number one on Virgin Radio Italy for two consecutive weeks and was included in the Sony Music compilation "Virgin Style Rock Vol. 4" alongside Depeche Mode, Bon Jovi and Skunk Anansie.

Saturn Calls is what comes after knowing all of that — and choosing a different direction. Francesco writes and records vocals in London. Alessandro produces and engineers at Virus Studio in Siena. The album features Davide Pepi on guitars, a professional sessionman and composer with credits spanning Italian rock and progressive projects, and Francesco Miatto on drums, co-founder of Coram Lethe, one of Tuscany's most established metal bands with over two decades of activity.

Every song is a fragment registered before it disappears.

Debut release: 2026.
